SKF Needle Roller Bearing, 12mm ID, 18mm OD - HK 1212

Need a compact bearing to use where space is at a premium? This needle roller bearing from SKF takes up less space than a ball bearing or other types of roller bearing and is suitable for supporting radial loads. As an open-ended unit, it's suitable for use in clean environments where the lubricant won't come into contact with contaminants. The open allows the oil or grease to circulate freely within the bearing, while the sheet-steel cage combines strength with light weight.

• Maximum speed of 14,000rpm when greased and 20,000rpm when oiled makes it suitable for very high-speed rotation
• Static load rating of 7.35kN and dynamic load rating of 6.27kN mean it can handle heavy loads

Applications

• Robotics systems
• Farm equipment
• Construction machinery

What kind of shaft can I use needle roller bearings with?

For needle roller bearings to function effectively when used alone, the shaft needs to be hardened and ground to a suitable raceway tolerance. Where the shaft can't be hardened and ground, the bearing can be used with an inner ring.
