RS PRO Rigging Screw, Jaw to Jaw, M5

Need a way to fasten rigging safely? The RS PRO rigging screw is the tool for the job. It's made from robust stainless steel and has jaw fittings on either end, providing safe and secure connection points for ropes held at tension.

Each jaw has a locking pin to hold it firmly in place. The rotating body of the screw allows you to either pull the ends towards one another or push them apart, so you can loosen or tighten the rope the rigging screw is connected to. When fully open the screw is 190 mm long and it contracts to 130 mm when closed. It has an M5 thread size and spacious eye diameter of 5 mm.

These components come in useful in any application where you need to hold ropes at a certain tension. They're commonly used in boat rigging and the cables of suspension bridges.
