UGT500 Series Diffuse Ultrasonic Sensors

IFM Electronics UGT500 series diffuse ultrasonic sensors offer an alternative sensing type for long ranges and difficult surfaces. The UGT500 series are able to operate reliably with heavy soiling, allowing them to be used where photoelectric sensors meet their limits.

Ultrasonic sensors transmit and receive sound waves in the ultrasonic range. Objects to be detected reflect the sound waves and distance information is determined via a time of flight measurement. Ultrasonic sensors are able to detect various object types, including colour or transparent objects or objects with a surface shine.

Features and Benefits

Robust high grade stainless steel housing
Vibrating sound transducer reduces the deposit of dirt
Wide sensing range
Easy setting via wire or button teach
