The Pepperl + Fuchs Inductive Slot Sensor is designed for use in particularly tight installation spaces, such as limit detection in pointer instruments. It can detect both reference targets and ferromagnetic metals as actuator elements. Equipped with various approvals for hazardous area use, the sensor is suitable for global applications. When paired with a Pepperl+Fuchs safety switch amplifier like the KFD2-SH-EX1, it supports safety-related applications up to SIL 3. It can also be used in SIL 2 applications with safety-related NAMUR switch amplifiers.
