What's the difference between a powered respirator and an air-fed respirator?


Powered respirators use electric fans to draw air through filters, which remove solid and liquid particles. Air-fed units, or supplied-air respirators, use high-pressure hoses or compressors, usually attached to the wearer, to produce purified air.

Powercap® Active™ respirator has been designed to protect the wearer from dust and most airborne particulate pollutants in various environments

This unit comes complete with BumpCap protection and Impact Faceshield, two TH1P Filters, one Battery Pack and one Charging Dock.

Features and Benefits:


Protection conforms to EN12941 TH1P. Equivalent to FFP2 levels with an assigned protection factor (AFP) of 10

BumpCap conforms to EN812+A1 and Face Shield conforms to EN166.1.B, can be removed for washing

Flow gauge included enables the user to determine when the filter needs changing

PowerCap unit gives a cooling, comfortable supply of filtered air at 160L/Min. equivalent to FFP2. APF = 10

Polycarbonate Face Shield - protects the user from medium energy, high speed particles, dust, and liquid droplets

Cap protects the user against bumps and scrapes

Filter – high efficiency sub-micron particulate filters

Faceseal – foam with brush nylon covering

Charging dock – battery lasts 8 hours
