RS PRO D-Sub Connectors

RS PRO is proud to introduce a new range of D-Sub connectors. Our D-Sub connectors are made from high-quality materials with a sturdy design and are commonly used in computers, monitors, test & measurement equipment, or PCBs to provide power and point-to-point communication between devices.

RS PRO offers a wide selection of D-sub connectors that supports connectivity for video ports, parallel printer ports, and RS232 serial ports. They are available as male or female connectors and consist of two rows of parallel pins or sockets surrounded by a D-shaped metal shell to provide mechanical support and ensure proper positioning during fitting.

Installation

For a professional install make sure the connector is secured while working on it. Strip the ends of each wire using the depth of solder cups to gauge how much insulation you need to remove. Tin the exposed wire strands with a soldering iron and partially fill the solder cup with solder. Apply a soldering iron to the edge of the cup allowing the solder to melt. Insert the end of the tinned wire into the cup and hold it in place until the solder becomes solid.
