Current Sensing Amplifiers, Silicon Labs
The range of unidirectional and bi-directional, voltage-output current-sense amplifiers from Silicon Labs consume just 1 μA supply current. These high-side current-sense amplifiers exhibit a maximum 100-μV VOS and a 0.6% gain error. Both specifications are optimised for precision current measurement.
For high-side bidirectional current-sensing applications, the current sense amplifier devices are self-powered and feature a wide input common-mode voltage range from 2 V to 25 V.
For high-side bidirectional current-sensing applications, the current sense amplifier devices are self-powered and feature a wide input common-mode voltage range from 2 V to 25 V.
Current Sensing Amplifiers have a voltage output that is proportional to the volt drop across a very low value resistor, usually in a high-current power rail. Hence they measure the current flowing in that power rail.
