IMI Norgren Pneumatic Roundline Cylinder, 40mm Bore, 100mm Stroke - RT/57200/M Series - RT/57240/M/100

This pneumatic cylinder from IMI Norgren uses compressed air to control the movement of components in a machine. When air enters the cylinder, it moves the piston rod in and out, creating linear motion to drive your equipment. The piston is made from stainless steel, so it’s corrosion-resistant and delivers an extended service life. The end caps are cushioned to minimise shock and vibration from the piston movement. Thanks to a broad operating pressure range between 1 and 10 bar, you can use this versatile cylinder in both high-pressure and low-pressure applications.

Features & Benefits

• Tough aluminium end cover to withstand demanding conditions
• Durable nitrile rubber seals and O-rings prevent leakage
• Broad operating temperature range between -10°C and +80°C for use in challenging settings

Applications

• Conveyor systems
• Packaging industry
• Automotive workshops

What’s the difference between a double-acting and a single-acting pneumatic cylinder?

A double-acting cylinder moves the piston in two different directions while a single-acting cylinder can only move the piston in one direction. Single-acting cylinders typically come with spring mechanisms, which automatically return the piston to its original state.
