Festo Pneumatic Compact Cylinder, 32mm Bore, 40mm Stroke - DZH-32-40-PPV-A

Use this Festo compact pneumatic cylinder for industrial operations where space management is important. With a stroke of 40mm, the unit is suitable for position-sensing applications that have short-distance pistons. It's designed to work with a proximity sensor for automated operation, so you don't have to control it manually. For stability, and to prevent rotation, the cylinder features an oval piston. You can easily screw it onto a port with its thread, saving time and effort.

• Adjustable polyphenylene vinylene (PPV) cushioning on both ends to prevent barrel damage
• Can be assembled in any position to suit your design needs
• Aluminium cover for corrosion resistance and improved lifespan
• Broad operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C for use in harsh environments

Applications

• Process and packaging industries
• Agricultural machinery
• Robotics

How does adjustable cushioning work?

Cushioning is achieved by trapping a certain air volume in the end position. At the end of the stroke, the air is compressed, which has a braking effect. Throttling non-return valves let the free inflow of pressurised air and the exhaust port adjusts with a screw.
