Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, Double Acting, M5 Port Connection - ADN-20-40-A-P-A

This pneumatic cylinder from Festo converts the force of compressed air into linear motion in your machinery. When air enters the unit's port, it pushes the piston rod, generating forward and backward movement. For durability, the rod is made from high-alloy steel that's resistant to corrosion. This unit features a proximity sensor to track the movement of the piston for precise operation. It comes with flexible cushioning rings at both ends that help minimise noise and vibration and deliver a prolonged service life.

• Operating pressure range between 0.6 and 10 bar for safe use in low-pressure environments
• Wrought aluminium alloy cylinder barrel offers resistance to impacts and corrosion for extended service life
• Can be lubricated for smoother operation
• TPE-U seals are wear-resistant for added durability
• Broad operating temperature range between -20°C and +80°C to withstand harsh conditions

Applications

• Automated industrial systems
• Conveyor belts
• Automotive industry

What's the difference between a double-acting cylinder and a single-acting cylinder?

A double-acting cylinder comes with multiple ports that allow air to enter and flow out, controlling the piston's movement. A single-acting cylinder has only one port and a spring mechanism that returns the piston to its original position.
