ADN ISO 21287 Pneumatic Cylinders- Flexible Cushioning

FESTO ADN series of compact pneumatic cylinder are up to 50% smaller than standard pneumatic cylinders for maximum productivity in confined spaces. These double acting pneumatic actuators have dual connection ports for compressed air to be applied for advancing and retracting the piston rod. The extensive range of stroke length and bore size variants in the ADN series can be configured to suit a broad range of applications.

Pneumatic Cylinder Operation
The ADN series is a double acting actuator with air applied to extend and to retract the piston in a linear motion to the desired stroke length. Magnetic piston rods allow contactless position detection via a proximity sensor mounted in slots along the cylinder body.

Cylinders are fitted with flexible polymer end cushioning helping to reduce noise and vibration, prolong service life and increase production and productivity.

Features and Benefits

Complies with ISO 21287 standard
Slots for flush mounting proximity sensors
Low friction design allowing for continuous operation
Cushioning requires no adjustment saving maintenance time and cost

How do I mount the pneumatic cylinder?

The ADN series pneumatic actuators can be mount horizontally or vertically to suit the required application. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the cylinder to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.

Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, M5 Piston Rod Thread, 1 to 10 Bar Operating Pressure Range - ADN-12-10-A-P-A

Need a compact solution to keep your process moving? Go for this pneumatic cylinder from Festo. It positions, clamps and stops objects in your industrial applications. At only 49.2mm long, it squeezes easily into tight spots, so you can use it where space is at a premium. The aluminium-alloy barrel stands up to corrosion and temperatures between -20°C and +80°C, so you can bank on reliable performance in tough environments. A wide operating pressure range between 1 and 10 bar also makes this a versatile choice.

Features & Benefits

• Short 10mm stroke for fast movements and high productivity
• M5 port connections for wide compatibility with standard fittings
• TPE-U (PUR) seals to keep the unit leak-free

Applications

• Automated factory processes
• Aerospace systems
• Medical equipment
• Laboratory installations
• Automotive manufacturing

Does this unit's double-acting design boost efficiency?

Yes, as compressed air drives both thrust and retraction, you can rely on this cylinder for accuracy.

Do I need to lubricate my pneumatic cylinder?

Lubrication helps to keep the component friction-free and stretches its service life. It's worth noting that if you lubricate it once, you'll need to do so going forward.
