Festo Pneumatic Piston Rod Cylinder, Air Cushioning, 40mm Bore - DSBC-40-25-PPVA-N3

Want to put your workpieces on the spot? Position them accurately with this pneumatic piston rod cylinder from Festo. It's double-acting with a small stroke length of 25mm, so it's ideal for making precise movements in two directions. Pneumatic cushioning keeps these motions smooth and makes sure wear and vibrations are minimal. The rod features a thread on the end that lets you add coupling and clamping accessories easily if you want to tailor it to specific tasks. Grooves in the cylinder body mean you can slide in an SMT proximity sensor (121-5836) to keep an eye on push/pull and lift/lower tasks.

Features & Benefits

• Cushioning is adjustable at both ends, so you can customise it to your load
• High-alloy steel rod and wrought-aluminium barrel keep it strong and resistant to corrosion
• Durable and heat-resistant, it operates reliably at temperatures from -20°C to +80°C

Applications

• Factory automation
• Machine tools
• Cranes and hoists
• Automatic gates

Does this cylinder need a high-pressure system to work?

No. As this pneumatic cylinder works at fairly low pressures between 0.6 and 12 bar, you don't need a high-pressure system to operate it.
