DSNU Series Roundline Cylinders - Flexible Cushioning

Festo DSNU series round pneumatic cylinders with flexible cushioning rings at both ends of the actuator barrel. Featuring a stainless steel piston rod within a 3 component system that provides excellent running performance and long service life. These double acting pneumatic actuators have dual connection ports for compressed air to be applied for advancing and retracting the piston rod in a linear motion. An extensive range of accessories makes it possible to install the DSNU cylinders virtually anywhere.

Flexible Cushioning

The DSNU P type flexible cushioning pneumatic cylinders absorb energy directly via flexible cushioning rings which are integrated into the main piston. This energy absorbing method makes these cylinders ideal for small load and low speed applications.

Features and Benefits

Conforms to ISO 6432 providing standardised metric mounting dimensions
Stainless steel piston rod with threaded connector
Wide range of stroke length and bore size variants that can be configured to suit a broad range of applications.
Long service life
Double acting operation

How do I mount the pneumatic cylinder?

The DSNU series pneumatic round actuators conform to ISO 6432 standards allowing them to be mounted in any position to suit the required application. The ISO 6432 standard establishes metric mounting dimensions for cylinders providing interchangeability of commonly used hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the cylinder to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.

Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, 40mm Stroke, Flexible Cushioning - DSNU-25-40-P-A

Keep your machine's movements precise with this pneumatic cylinder from Festo. Its 40mm stroke length lets you move objects over mid-range distances. As a double-acting type, it has a port at each end, giving you control over the stroke in both directions. Flexible elastomer cushioning absorbs the impact shock of each stroke to extend the component's service life and boost your system's efficiency and accuracy. A wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C makes this a suitable choice for use in harsh industrial environments.

Features & Benefits

• Piston rod and cylinder barrel are both made from high-alloy steel, combining strength with corrosion resistance
• Can be mounted in any position to suit your needs
• Nitrile rubber seals prevent leaks while keeping out dust and other contaminants
• Can be used with a proximity sensor for precise automated applications

Applications

• Manufacturing industry
• Packaging lines
• Process plant automation

Where would I use a pneumatic cylinder?

You can use a pneumatic cylinder in conjunction with a proximity sensor as part of a pneumatic system. They're commonly used in mechanisms for repetitive movements such as lifting, clamping or ejecting. You'll find them in factories, where they place objects precisely into equipment.
