DSNU Series Roundline Cylinders - Flexible Cushioning

Festo DSNU series round pneumatic cylinders with flexible cushioning rings at both ends of the actuator barrel. Featuring a stainless steel piston rod within a 3 component system that provides excellent running performance and long service life. These double acting pneumatic actuators have dual connection ports for compressed air to be applied for advancing and retracting the piston rod in a linear motion. An extensive range of accessories makes it possible to install the DSNU cylinders virtually anywhere.

Flexible Cushioning

The DSNU P type flexible cushioning pneumatic cylinders absorb energy directly via flexible cushioning rings which are integrated into the main piston. This energy absorbing method makes these cylinders ideal for small load and low speed applications.

Features and Benefits

Conforms to ISO 6432 providing standardised metric mounting dimensions
Stainless steel piston rod with threaded connector
Wide range of stroke length and bore size variants that can be configured to suit a broad range of applications.
Long service life
Double acting operation

How do I mount the pneumatic cylinder?

The DSNU series pneumatic round actuators conform to ISO 6432 standards allowing them to be mounted in any position to suit the required application. The ISO 6432 standard establishes metric mounting dimensions for cylinders providing interchangeability of commonly used hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the cylinder to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.

Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, Stainless Steel, Flexible Elastomer Cushioning - DSNU-25-250-P-A

Put your workpieces precisely in place with this pneumatic cylinder from Festo. Both the piston rod and cylinder are made from high-alloy steel for strength and corrosion resistance, so you can be sure of a long service life. Nitrile rubber seals guard against leakage to help your system run efficiently. You can mount it in any position using a choice of accessories, letting you build the system that's best suited to your needs. Thanks to a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, this is a safe option for use in harsh industrial environments.

Features & Benefits

• Stroke of 250mm makes it suitable for moving objects over medium distances
• Double-acting cylinder gives you control over the stroke in both directions
• Single-rod construction makes for a simple and durable design
• Can be used with a proximity sensor for precise automated positioning

Applications

• Factory automation
• Recycling sector
• Military hardware

What kind of cushioning does this cylinder have?

This cylinder is fitted with elastomer cushioning, which provides simple and effective shock relief. This type of mechanical cushioning is ideal for use with relatively light loads and slow stroke speeds. To reduce your workload, no adjustment is needed.
