DSNU Series Roundline Cylinders - Flexible Cushioning

Festo DSNU series round pneumatic cylinders with flexible cushioning rings at both ends of the actuator barrel. Featuring a stainless steel piston rod within a 3 component system that provides excellent running performance and long service life. These double acting pneumatic actuators have dual connection ports for compressed air to be applied for advancing and retracting the piston rod in a linear motion. An extensive range of accessories makes it possible to install the DSNU cylinders virtually anywhere.

Flexible Cushioning

The DSNU P type flexible cushioning pneumatic cylinders absorb energy directly via flexible cushioning rings which are integrated into the main piston. This energy absorbing method makes these cylinders ideal for small load and low speed applications.

Features and Benefits

Conforms to ISO 6432 providing standardised metric mounting dimensions
Stainless steel piston rod with threaded connector
Wide range of stroke length and bore size variants that can be configured to suit a broad range of applications.
Long service life
Double acting operation

How do I mount the pneumatic cylinder?

The DSNU series pneumatic round actuators conform to ISO 6432 standards allowing them to be mounted in any position to suit the required application. The ISO 6432 standard establishes metric mounting dimensions for cylinders providing interchangeability of commonly used hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders. Optional mounting accessories provide further flexibility allowing the cylinder to be attached with a swivel bracket for free movement, foot mounted for support under high loads or combined with other actuators to give a wider range of movement.

Festo Pneumatic Cylinder, Compatible With Proximity Sensors, Flexible Cushioning - DSNU-25-160-P-A

Position workpieces with precision using this pneumatic cylinder from Festo. With a stroke length of 160mm and a stroke interval weight of 11g at 10mm stroke, it's ideal for moving objects over medium distances. As a double-acting device, it gives you control over the stroke in both directions. Flexible elastomer cushioning prevents damage, extends the component's service life and boosts the efficiency and accuracy of your setup. Both the piston rod and cylinder barrel are made from high-alloy steel, which combines strength with corrosion resistance to help you build a reliable system.

Features & Benefits

• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C lets you use it in challenging environments
• Nitrile rubber seals guard against leakage and keep out contaminants
• Can be mounted in any position using optional accessories for versatility

Applications

• Packaging plants
• Factory automation
• Recycling facilities

What's a double-acting cylinder?

A double-acting cylinder like this one has a port at each end, allowing the compressed air to push the piston back and forth. This offers more control compared with a single-acting cylinder, which has just one port and uses a spring to drive the return stroke.
