Festo Pneumatic Guided Cylinder, 8 Bar, 150mm Stroke - DGSL-25-150-P1A

This pneumatic guided cylinder from Festo uses compressed air to provide linear motion in your industrial machinery. It's a double-acting cylinder that works in both directions and has a long 150mm stroke length for use in heavy-duty applications. The wrought aluminium alloy housing makes it highly durable and resistant to impact and corrosion. That means it's a good choice for reliable performance in pneumatic systems working in harsh conditions.

• Maximum operating pressure of 8 bar for use in high-pressure applications
• Broad operating temperature range of 0°C to +60°C for use in high-heat environments
• Flexible cushioning to reduce vibrations and minimise stress on the cylinder

Applications

• Pharmaceutical industry
• Packaging machinery
• Food and beverage processing
• Automotive manufacture

What's the difference between a single-acting and a double-acting cylinder?

In a single-acting cylinder, pressurised air enters in one direction through a single port. When the air is pushed out, the cylinder moves back to its original position. A double-acting cylinder has two ports that allow the piston to be pushed forward and backwards by pressurised air, meaning it can be used to move loads in both directions.
