Festo Pneumatic Guided Cylinder, 10mm Bore, 10mm Stroke - DGST-10-10-PA

Need a reliable solution for handling heavy loads in your pneumatic equipment? This pneumatic guided cylinder from Festo absorbs lateral forces and evenly distributes side loads, to deliver efficient operation. As the double-acting cylinder controls pressurised air, gas or liquid inputs and outputs during retraction and extension, it ensures reliable control of piston movement. Thanks to its broad operating pressure range of 1 to 8 bar, it's suitable for use in low-pressure and high-pressure applications.

• Flexible cushioning at both ends to reduce noise and wear
• High-alloy steel piston rod is corrosion-resistant for a long lifespan
• Light weight of 270.4g to minimise strain on equipment
• Wide operating temperature range of -10°C to +60°C for use in demanding environments

Applications

• Industrial assembly lines
• Packaging conveyor systems
• Laboratory equipment
• X-ray machines

What's the difference between a single-acting cylinder and a double-acting cylinder?

A single-acting cylinder has only one port through which compressed air, gas or fluids enter and vent. A double-acting cylinder has ports at both ends of the barrel to support movement in both directions. As the piston always returns to its original position, a double-acting cylinder is more efficient and precise than a single-acting alternative.
