Festo Pneumatic Guided Cylinder, 25mm Bore, 25mm Stroke - DFM Series - DFM-25-25-P-A-GF

This double-acting pneumatic cylinder from Festo lets you accurately perform driving and guiding applications. It's a high-performance unit that can achieve a stroke length of up to 200 mm, so it's suitable for heavy-duty lifting. It can also reliably stop heavy loads of up to 150kg. It's compatible with proximity sensors to provide precise movement and flow control valves to regulate its speed. The steel pistons and wrought-aluminium housing material ensure excellent resistance to wear and corrosion, so you can use this component in tough industrial environments.

• Compact dimensions of 98 (length) x 95 (width) x 44mm (height) for use in tight spaces
• Wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C for use in very hot or cold conditions
• Through-hole and female thread mounting options for versatility in installation
• Flexible elastomer cushioning plates for reduced noise and friction

How does a double-acting cylinder work?

A double-acting cylinder has two ports at each end – one for air pressure and one for exhaust. They can be positioned in different ways to control the extension and retraction of the cylinder piston. The port that has the most air pressure controls its momentary movement.
