RS PRO Tube-to-Tube Reducer, Push In 6 mm to Push In 8 mm

If you need to quickly connect two different-sized tubes in a vacuum system, this tube-to-tube reducer from our reliable RS PRO range lets you simply push them in. The reducer has one 6-millimetre outlet and one 8-millimetre outlet. It's suitable for use with air up to a pressure of 990 kPa.

Made from strong engineering plastic (polyoxymethylene) and nickel-plated brass, the reducer will resist contamination while offering the stiffness, low friction and good dimensional stability necessary for a precision part. A teflon coating on the thread helps seal the connection. It can be easily disconnected simply by pressing on the sleeve.

This kind of fitting is typically used to assemble vacuum systems. You can find them in a wide range of applications, including in the marine, automotive and food technology sectors.
