• Suitable for requiring robust digital control solutions

What are the operational voltage limits for the outputs?

The output voltage for a signal 1 must be a minimum of 20V DC, with a rated value set at 24V DC within an acceptable range of 20.4V to 28.8V.

How can this module contribute to automation tasks in various environments?

It operates effectively in environments ranging from 0 to 55 °C, maintaining a total current of up to 20A, making it suitable for diverse industrial conditions.

Is there any short-circuit protection for this I/O module?

This model does not have short-circuit protection but is designed with a limitation for inductive shutdown voltage to L+ at -48V.

What is the significance of potential separation in the digital outputs?

Potential separation increases safety by isolating the channels in groups of one, ensuring that faults in one output do not affect others, thereby enhancing operational stability.

S7-200 Expansion Modules for 2nd & 3rd Generation

A range of digital and analogue expansion modules to increase the I/O capacity of the S7-200 CPUs. A maximum of 2 modules can be used with S7-222, with a maximum of 78 I/O, up to 7 modules may be used with S7-224 and S7-226 CPUs, with a maximum of 128 I/O 248 respectively. The modules are available in 24Vdc or 85-245Vac powered versions, and include digital input, output and combined forms, plus analogue input, output and temperature sensor modules.

In addition to digital signals the S7-200 series can process analogue signals from sensors or actuators directly by using an analogue expansion module.
