The card is a flash EPROM (erasable programmable read-only memory) type, which means it's for read-only programs. With its compact dimensions of 4 (W) x 32 (H) x 2.1mm (D), it's easy to install top-first inside the back of a PLC module. The contacts on the back of the card connect to the PLC's electrical current for fast and high-quality data transfer. Its body sits out from the PLC, so it can be removed easily when the device is turned off.
