What is TOF / ToF?
ToF concept is short for Time of Flight which is really a depth measurement reading using infrared light beams. The sensor used sends out an infrared light beam which when it hits an object sends the light beam back to the sensor and measures the time it took the light beam going out and reflected back.
Why RS PRO?
RS PRO is our own brand range and brings you a wide range of high-quality, great value products offering you more choice. Trusted by engineers all over the world, every part of every RS PRO product has been rigorously tested against demanding industry standards, theyre only given the RS PRO seal of approval if were confident of their exceptional quality, which means you can be confident too.
Note
This sensor works on a Diffuse Polarized Reflection principle and has a special feature, TOF. With this feature it's possible to measure distances using the time the light takes from the transmitter to return to the receiver.
