Festo Photoelectric Contrast Sensor, 120mm Detection Range, M8 - SOOE-KS-L-PNLK-T

Use this photoelectric sensor from Festo to safely and accurately check the position of items on a conveyor belt. If the sensor detects any absences or misalignments, it triggers an alert. This makes it useful for error detection in high-volume batch production. The diffuse-type sensor is quick and easy to mount and adjust as its transmitter and receiver are contained within the same housing. It's suitable to use in demanding industrial applications thanks to its sturdy housing that's protected from dust and water jets.

• Optoelectronic measuring technology consumes less power for improved energy efficiency
• Long-reach laser-contrast technology can access hard-to-access areas
• Gold-plated brass contacts provide high levels of electrical conductivity for improved performance
• Supports a variety of mounting positions for enhanced versatility

Applications

• Automated warehouses
• Pick-and-place machinery
• Robotics
• Pharmaceutical industry

How does a diffuse sensor work?

A diffuse sensor uses objects in the path of its transmitted beam to reflect light back to it. In the normal detecting mode, the sensor shouldn't receive any light back. When it does, it indicates an error state.
