RS PRO 2.54 mm Pitch 4-Way 1-Row Straight PCB Socket, Through Hole, Solder Termination

This PCB socket from RS PRO is a handy tool for connecting printed circuit boards (PCBs). Together with its male counterpart – a PCB header – the socket makes it possible to connect two PCBs without cabling. This delivers a more secure and stable connection.

The socket comes in a single row format with a 2.54 mm pitch. It has a solder termination and a straight body orientation, which makes installation easy. The through-hole mounting system is useful, as it provides enough space to hand-solder components. Plus, it makes vertical stacking of PCBs possible, which is a good alternative to soldering relays directly to a PCB.

PCB sockets can operate effectively in temperatures between -40° and +105°C. They're used in applications where there's a need to connect and disconnect printed circuit boards quickly and are suitable for most board-to-board, bussing and programming requirements.
