RS Pro Snap-in LED Indicator 12 mm Mount

From RS Pro, a range of LED indicators. Each indicator has a compact and robust high quality build, complete with a snap-in technology. The incredible ease of the installation process ensures these LED indicators are perfect for your application. All models are highly reliable and excellent quality.

Features and Benefits

• 8 mm coloured diffused epoxy lens
• Various voltages
• Snap-in fixing techology
• Longevity and low power consumption

How do Snap-in Indicators work?

The snap-in ability of these indicators is a great asset for a simple and efficient installation process. Normally LED indicators would need to be fixed to the surface or mounting hole. These particular models incorporate 'snap-in' technology. It requires no additional hardware and can be quickly fixed to the mounting hole. They are pushed through the hole and the plastic catches around the side 'snap', fully fixing the indicator in place.

What are the uses of an Indicator?

Uses of indicators fall entirely down to the user. They can be fixed to PCB circuit boards and mounted on push buttons and switches. Primarily, these types of indicators are used within circuit boards and electronic designs. This is due to their relatively small size, as compared with other types of indicators, such as car turn signals.

Benefits of an LED

LED's have many benefits, the longevity and low power consumption are the main selling points of an LED. However, there are various other reasons to consider:

• Temperature - LED's give off a far cooler temperature than what an incandescent or neon light would.
• Direction - LED's will only emit light in a single direction, reducing the need for additional components, such as reflectors. Although this wouldn't apply if the LED indicator is being used as a circuit board signal.
