The TDS1000C-EDU series is designed specifically to meet the needs of schools and universities. These digital storage oscilloscopes are ideal for first-time oscilloscope users and students. Features include exceptional bandwidth and sample rate for the price, together with an intuitative user interface with dedicated per-channel vertical controls, auto-setup, and auto-ranging. A built-in help menu provides information on the scope’s features and functions, and is communicated in the same language as the user interface. Users can easily capture, save and analyze measurement results by PC connection via the rear-panel USB device port of the scope, and by using the included copy of OpenChoice® PC communications software. Screen images and waveform data can be simply pulled into the stand-alone desktop application or directly into Microsoft Word and Excel. Alternatively, if the user prefers not to use a PC, images can be printed directly to any PictBridge®-compatible printer. The TDS1000C-EDU scopes come with an education resource CD with tools to help learners master the use of an oscilloscope. The CD includes two student labs and instructor’s guides explaining the basics of oscilloscope operations, with hands-on exercises, and the fundamentals of probing and how probes can affect measurement quality. Additional items include XYZs of Oscilloscopes, ABCs of Probes test primers, and a printable oscilloscope classroom poster.
