FAQ
What is the difference between an active probe and a passive probe?
Passive probes can be used without power from the oscilloscope as they have no active components. They are very common and are usually provided with most oscilloscopes and are ideal for low frequency signals.
Active probes are considered more complex and better than passive probes and are usually brought separately from an oscilloscope for a specific measurement application.
