It picks up on the field created from AC voltages passing through live conductors, eliminating the need to physically touch these parts. The instrument gives audio, visual and vibrating alerts when it detects an electrical charge, so you can't miss it. Thanks to an assessment range between 12 and 1000V AC, it comes in handy for low and mid-voltage applications.
