It's suited to manufacturing and process automation applications and can be used for setting up small star and line topologies. The switch allows for simple installation, expansion and troubleshooting in a communication network and can cover large distances effectively.

LEDs (light-emitting diodes) on the unit offer quick visual diagnostics. You can snap this device onto a DIN rail or mount it on a wall. It features screw terminals for wiring, so your connection is secure and has reliable resistance to shock and vibration.

The SCALANCE XB008 has eight RJ-45 jacks for the connection of end devices or other network segments
