An MPCB is a safety measure device which is used for controlling electric motors and protecting them from faults such as overloads and short circuits, which can cause serious damage to the motor. They work by interrupting the circuit when abnormal conditions are detected and instantly switching off the motor. The three main functions of an MCPB are thermal protection, magnetic protection, and phase protection. They can also turn a motor off and on manually.
