EM-175 DC-Motor Controller

EM-175 motor driver is designed for DC-motor speed control. The unit regulates motor voltage so non regulated supply voltage is well suited. A load affecting the motor rpm can be compensated with an adjustable load compensation (RxI).

Unidirectional
2-quadrant, drive and brake
Dynamic and regenerative braking
Smooth start-up ramp
Adjustable current limit
Load compensation
High efficiency
High peak loading capacity
Rail mountable

Electromen - EM-175 DC MOTOR CONTROLLER 12-24 V DC, 10A 2-QUAD

The EM-175 motor driver is designed for DC-motor speed control and is suitable for 12 or 24V supply. Control can be provide by a potentiometer or direct voltage signal and the drive offers adjustable load compensation, if required. The current limit can be set with either the trim pot or with a direct voltage signal, this can be adjusted to protect the motor and transmission in a jam situations

Start-up speed can be adjusted with an acceleration ramp, this is also set with an on board trim pot
The drive offers two dynamic braking options: the 'zero braking' option resets speed setting to zero (0V) on any instance of braking and the drive effectively starts from zero rpm.
The second 'ramp braking' method reduces speed setting during braking based on ramp time, this means that the motor always re-starts from ramped down speed value after a braking phase.
When the unit is battery-operated, regenerative braking can be used this supplies energy back into the battery.
Regenerative braking is activated automatically when motor generate back voltage exceeds a set value, for instance, when set speed value is being reduced very rapidly
The freewheel command sets the motor free from all control, the freewheel command overrides all other commands
