SICK Magnetic Pick Up, Plastic Housing, IP68 - MZC1-2V2PS-KP0 / 1059735

This magnetic pick‑up is a Compact sensor designed to detect piston position in C‑slot and round‑body cylinders for industrial automation. It operates on a three‑wire DC supply and is suited to installations requiring a robust, cable‑connected switching element with a normally open output and axial cable exit.

Features & Benefits

• 10V–30V DC supply supports common industrial control voltages
• PNP switching with 1000Hz switching frequency enables fast cycle detection
• IP68 enclosure rating allows use in wet or submerged conditions
• Operating range down to –30°C and up to +80°C suits varied temperature environments
• Typical response sensitivity 2.2mT provides reliable magnetic actuation

**Applications**

• Suitable for position sensing on C‑slot pneumatic cylinders
• Ideal for integration with SMC CDQ2 and ECDQ2 rails
• Used with profile or tie‑rod cylinders for piston location feedback
• Can be used in machines requiring waterproof sensors at elevated temperatures
• Suitable for electrical panels where compact, cable‑connected sensors are required

What type of output wiring is provided for connections?

The sensor uses a three‑wire DC wiring scheme with an axial cable outlet and an M8, 3‑pin connector on a 0.3m PUR cable.

How does it perform under mechanical stress?

It withstands shocks up to 30g for 11ms and vibration from 10–55 Hz with 1mm amplitude.

What protection features prevent electrical faults?

Built‑in reverse polarity protection, short‑circuit protection and power‑up Pulse suppression reduce risk during commissioning.
