Allen Bradley Absolute Encoder, 6000rpm Maximum Revolutions, 18 Bit Resolution - 842E-SIP12BA

Prevent equipment failure due to shaft misalignment with this absolute encoder from Rockwell Automation's Allen Bradley range. It converts the angular motion of your machinery's axle to an electrical signal that can be read by digital devices. An industry-standard Ethernet/IP interface makes data transmission straightforward, while an embedded Ethernet/IP switch allows you to build in Device Level Ring redundancy. This keeps your information secure in case of a fault. Units like this are commonly used for printing machines, industrial automation and control applications.

Features & Benefits

• 18 bit resolution for a high degree of accuracy
• IP67 rating indicates protection against dust and complete immersion in water up to 1m
• Status indicator LEDs provide at-a-glance troubleshooting information

How do I mount this absolute encoder?

For simple installation, the hollow-shaft clamps around the motor shaft and you fix it in place with a flexible tether. This provides a secure fit even if the two shafts aren't perfectly matched to each other in size. For added protection, the encoder features standardised M12 connectors designed to withstand vigorous washdowns and corrosive environments.
