Allen Bradley Temperature Monitoring Relay, DPST, 24V AC/DC to 240V AC/DC Supply Voltage - 817-E2
This Allen Bradley temperature monitoring relay from Rockwell Automation is an electrically controlled switch that turns the power on or off in a circuit. Its two contacts operate simultaneously to prevent overtemperature, opening or closing when the temperature is within or beyond the preset threshold. The first contact supplies power to a circuit or device, while the second activates an alarm to alert you if the temperature exceeds the desired limit.

How is a monitoring relay different from a normal relay?
Monitoring relays are a type of relay that trip a circuit breaker when a fault is detected. They measure a given parameter, such as voltage or temperature, and will trip when the parameters get too high or low. A normal relay doesn't offer this protective monitoring function.
