Eaton Multifunctional Phase Monitoring Relay, 300 to 500 V AC, 50 to 60 Hz - EMR6 Series - EMR6-AW500-D-1

This phase monitoring relay from Eaton is a safety device used to trip a circuit breaker when a fault is detected. For versatility and enhanced safety, it's a multifunctional component that can be used to monitor phase sequence or failure, undervoltage or overvoltage and current imbalances. It offers a flexible supply voltage range of 300 to 500 V AC, making it suitable for a range of industrial and commercial applications.

• Wide operating temperature range of -25°C to +60°C for use in challenging environments
• Long lifespan of 30 million operations
• Ingress protection rating of IP50 means the enclosure is protected against dust
• Short time delay of 0.1 to 30 s for rapid monitoring

How do I read the relay status?

The relay has multicoloured LEDs (light-emitting diodes) that indicate the type of fault detected. Each condition has an associated LED and/or colour (red, yellow or green) for ease of identification.

Why is monitoring phase imbalance important?

In a three-phase system, phase imbalances can make some motors carry a heavier load than others in the system. This can cause excessive heat and damage to the motor.
