The Microchip High performance microcontrollers with XLP technology feature a high performance RISC CPU with a C compiler optimized architecture and an optional extended instruction set for optimizing re entrant code. They support up to 1024 bytes of data EEPROM, up to 64 Kbytes of linear program memory addressing, and up to 3896 bytes of linear data memory addressing. Capable of up to 16 MIPS operation, they utilize 16 bit wide instructions with an 8 bit wide data path.
