PICDEM™ Explorer 8 Development Kit

From Microchip the Explorer 8 Development Kit is a versatile full-featured development platform for their extensive range of 8-bit PIC microcontrollers. The Explorer 8 is a foundation upon which countless applications can be explored.

Adding different functionalities and technologies to the Explorer 8 is simple. The board can be tailored with the addition of PICtail Daughter boards, MikroElektronika Click Boards and Digilent Pmods™ Boards. In addition there are expansion headers which can be customised as needed.

Several debug and programming solutions are supported including the PICkit™ 3, ICD 3 and MPLAB® REAL ICE™ In-Circuit Emulator.

Microchip’s free to download MPLAB® X Integrated Development Environment (IDE) is fully compatible with the Explorer 8. Included within MPLAB® X is the MPLAB® Code Configurator, a graphical programming environment that streamlines generation of C code to mouse clicks.
