Siemens 3VA5 Series Molded Case Circuit Breaker, 400A Current Rating, 690V AC Rated AC Voltage - 3VA5340-5EF31-0AA0

This moulded case circuit-breaker provides overcurrent protection for three-phase systems in industrial and commercial installations. Designed for fixed mounting, it performs interruption and fault-limiting duties across alternating and direct voltage networks commonly found in automation, electrical and mechanical environments.

Features and Benefits:

• 400A rated current for high-load circuit protection
• 35 kA interrupting capability for severe fault clearing
• Thermal-magnetic trip unit offering adjustable overload and short-circuit response
• 3-pole configuration enabling simultaneous disconnection of all phases
• Rated to 690V AC for broad industrial supply compatibility
• 500V DC rating supporting DC distribution applications

Applications

• Suitable for distribution panels in manufacturing plants
• Ideal for motor control and protection in automation systems
• Used with switchboards in large commercial buildings
• Can be used for DC-fed equipment protection in battery-backed systems

What mounting arrangement is required for installation?

It is intended for fixed installation and must be secured to a panel or enclosure designed to accept fixed-mount MCCBs.

How many poles are switched during a trip event?

All three poles operate together so that phase conductors are disconnected simultaneously upon tripping.

What Terminal style does it use for conductor connection?

The unit is supplied without integrated Terminal accessories, allowing use with customer-selected connection hardware.
