ABB MCB, Type-C Tripping Characteristics, Dual Tripping Mechanism - S200 Series - 2CDS252001R0204 S202-C20

Keep your kit safe from overcurrents with this MCB from ABB. With its type-C tripping characteristics, it trips at five to 10 times the rated current of 20A, so it's suitable for protecting equipment that needs a moderate inrush current. There are two separate tripping mechanisms, meaning you get protection from overloads with the delayed thermal trip and short circuits with the electromechanical trip. This device mounts directly onto a DIN rail to help you build an organised system.

Features & Benefits

• Breaking capacity at maximum voltage rating of 6kA means it guards against high power surges
• Bottom-fixing auxiliary contact saves space on your rack
• Double pole offers protection against both the live and neutral conductors

Applications

• Residential buildings
• Commercial premises
• Manufacturing facilities

What's a short circuit?

A short circuit happens when an unintended low-resistance pathway forms between two or more conductive elements in an electrical circuit. This pathway allows a high current to flow, which can lead to overheating or damage and pose a risk of fire or equipment malfunction. Using a protective device such as an MCB guards against such risks.
