ABB S200 Series Miniature Circuit Breaker, 63A Current, 6kA Breaking Capacity - 2CDS251103R0631

This miniature circuit-breaker provides overcurrent protection for single-phase installations and is intended for DIN-rail mounting in electrical panels. It combines thermal overload response with electromagnetic short-circuit intervention to protect circuits up to rated currents used in commercial and industrial environments. The unit is compatible with modular panel systems and permits auxiliary accessories to be fitted for additional functionality.

Features & Benefits

• 6kA breaking capacity delivers high short-circuit interruption capability
• Type D trip characteristic allows higher inrush handling for inductive loads
• Thermomagnetic mechanism provides combined overload and short-circuit protection
• Screw terminals with cylinder-lift ensure secure conductor clamping
• Red/green contact indication gives clear on/off Visual status
• 10000 AC cycle electrical endurance supports frequent switching operations

Applications

• Suitable for protecting motors and transformers with high inrush currents
• Ideal for distribution in commercial switchboards on DIN rails
• used with automation cabinets requiring Compact overcurrent protection
• Can be used for branch-circuit protection in industrial control panels

What electrical voltages can it operate at?

It is designed for operation at AC system voltages up to 400V and supports lower AC and DC voltages down to 12V for control scenarios.

How many poles are provided and how does NEUTRAL position affect installation?

It is a single-pole Plus NEUTRAL device with the NEUTRAL Terminal positioned on the right to match typical panel wiring layouts.

What environmental conditions can it withstand during operation?

It is rated to operate between -25 °C and +55 °C and tolerates vibration and shock levels specified for industrial switchgear environments.

What standards and testing back its performance?

The device conforms to recognised international low-voltage circuit-breaker standards and has defined electrical endurance and impulse withstand values for safe operation.
