Eaton MCB, Type C Tripping, Bus Bar Compatible - xPole Series - 236268 PXL-C4/2

Protect your components from overcurrents and short circuits with this MCB from Eaton's xPole range. Type C tripping characteristics mean it trips instantly when subject to 5 to 10 times its rated current of 4A. This makes it suitable for protecting high inductive loads such as small motors and fluorescent lighting, which need high switching surges. As a double-pole circuit breaker, it interrupts the circuit if either of the two hot wires it's connected to experiences a fault.

Features & Benefits

• DIN rail mounting with quick-fit action helps you build a compact and organised system
• IP20 rating certifies that it's finger-proof
• Breaking capacity of 10kA means it protects your equipment against substantial power surges

Why would I use an MCB instead of a fuse to protect my equipment?

An MCB does the same job as a fuse in interrupting the circuit in the event of an overcurrent, but it also offers several advantages. MCBs tend to be more reliable and sensitive, you can reset them once the fault has been fixed and you can turn them off to isolate a section of the circuit.
