Standard front panel light guides require a larger head than the mounting hole, which is not fully illuminated by the LED. Therefore the rear-mounted light guides often have a flush and more attractive appearance.
This range of light guides can be mechanically fixed through the radial compression of slightly oversized rings moulded within their body. Minimum recommended thickness of the front panel is 1.5 mm.
Suitable applications for the rear-mounted light guides for front panels include; medical devices, security safety, communications equipment and industrial control.
