As no power is required for the switch operation the piezo keypad / touch pad is adaptable for battery or solar powered systems.

Piezo keypads are a type of keypad or keyboard that uses piezoelectric technology which will register and detect key presses. When you press on the keypad it generates and electrical signal which registers which key has been pressed then the internal circuitry interprets the signals sending the input data to the system.
