RS PRO RS232 to Current Loop Network Adapter
Use this network adapter to connect RS-232 systems to 20 mA or 60 mA current loop ports. It provides a full-duplex circuit and offers reliable transmission over long distances at data rates up to 19,200 bps.
The adapter can be powered automatically via pin 9 if it's connected directly to a device. Alternatively, it can be powered by the USB power cable provided, or by a mains adapter (sold separately). The RS232 connector is a 9-pin terminal and the current loop connector is a 4-screw terminal block (T+, T-, R+, R-).
An external DCE/DTE switch on the adapter makes it easy to select the operating mode. Other external switches let you choose whether the adapter operates at 20 mA or 60 mA and whether Tx or Rx modes are active or passive.
