RS PRO Female to RS422 Network Adapter

This network adapter serves as a converter for a serial port connection up to 1.2 km, over a twisted pair cable. This link can be in either half-duplex (using two wires) or full-duplex (using four wires). It's also possible for you to perform a simple loopback test to confirm whether the adapter is working correctly.

Connector A is a 25-pin female RS232 connection. Connector B is a 9-pin RS 422 connection to a 5-wire terminal (T+, T-, R+, R-, GND). The adapter operates in auto-powered mode or in powered mode, using the USB power cable supplied.

This network adapter can be configured to work in data circuit-terminating equipment (DCE) mode or in data terminal equipment (DTE) mode and can create a mini-network on RS232 serial ports for up to 32 users securely. This makes it useful in industrial or commercial environments with multi-user IT systems.
