Belden Alpha Wire Teflon Insulated Hook-Up Wire, 0.35mm² Cross-Sectional Area, 30m Length - Premium Series - 5855/7 BK005

Use this hook-up wire from Belden's Alpha Wire range to connect internal circuits in your electronic devices. The PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) cable jacket is resistant to abrasion and resists the wear and tear expected in industrial applications. An insulation wall thickness of 0.3mm allows the wire to withstand chemical contact and solvents, making it ideal for harsh environments. It's easy to strip and terminate as it has a simple unshielded design. The copper conductor is silver-plated, which makes it resistant to corrosion and highly conductive up to 600V.

Features & Benefits

• Bend radius 10 times the cable diameter means it's flexible and easy to use
• Length of 30m for convenient cut-and-fix connections
• 5.5lbs pull force means it won't tear under pressure
• Broad operating temperature range between -60°C and +200°C for use in demanding environments

Applications

• Construction
• Domestic appliances
• Switchboards
• Food manufacturing

Is a hook-up wire the same as a lead wire?

Yes – the terms hook-up wire and lead wire are used interchangeably. Both refer to single-core cables housed in an insulated jacket. You can use them in enclosed electronic equipment.
