Belden Alpha Wire Black Hook-Up Wire, 0.3mm² Cross-Sectional Area, 30m Length - Premium Series - 5852 BK005

This hook-up wire from Belden's Alpha Wire range is ideal for making internal connections in your electronic devices. The cable jacket is made from tough PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) material, which has effective insulation properties to prevent overheating in temperatures as high as +200°C. This wire is unshielded, which makes for faster stripping, handling and termination. It has a bend radius 10 times the cable diameter, so it's ideal for use in tight spaces and small appliances.

Is PTFE the same as Teflon?

Yes – Teflon is a trademarked brand name for PTFE so they have the same qualities.

Where should I use a PTFE insulated wire?

PTFE is very resistant to solvents like oil and fuel. This makes wires coated in it suitable for applications that need lubrication. It's also ideal for use in humid environments.
