This range offers panels with 4, 6, 7 and 10-inch displays, keypad or touch controls, and is delivered with a 15-inch basic panel touch screen. Every SIMATIC Basic Panel is designed with the IP65 protection class and is ideal for simple visualization tasks, even in harsh environments. Additional advantages include integrated software functions such as a reporting system, recipe management, or graph functions. These high-resolution screens display 64k colours and can work both in vertical and horizontal mode. The USB interface allows for connecting of keyboard, mouse or barcode scanner. It can also be used for transferring data. Screens are especially energy-efficient due to their 100% dimmable brightness.

Visualization allows for considerably increased process quality with compact plants or smaller applications. Featuring all important HMI basic functions, SIMATIC HMI Basic Panels 2nd Generation thus opens up completely new possibilities in terms of operation and monitoring also in the field of mechanical engineering. Basic Panels 2nd Generation offer proven SIMATIC quality and, regardless of display size, numerous software functions as standard – for example, alarm logging, recipe management, trend functions and language switching
