An IP rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water in electrical enclosures. The first number indicates the protection from solids and the second number is the protection from liquids.

This enclosure has an IP55 rating which means it only protected from low pressure water ingress, so this product is not recommended for outside use or in damp environments.
