An IP rating classifies the degrees of protection provided against the intrusion of solid objects (including body parts like hands and fingers), dust, accidental contact and water in electrical enclosures. The first number indicates the protection from solids and the second number is the protection from liquids.

This enclosure has an IP30 rating which means it is not protected from any type of water ingress, so this product is not recommended for outside use or in damp environments.
